Documents you upload

When you upload a purchase agreement, counter offers, or other transaction documents, we store them securely within your workspace and process their contents using third-party AI services (Anthropic models, accessed through the Vercel AI Gateway) solely to help generate the amendment documents you request. These AI services are configured for zero data retention: your document contents are not retained by the AI provider after processing and are not used to train AI models. You can delete uploaded documents at any time. Sub-processors: Supabase (secure storage and database), Vercel / Anthropic (AI processing).

Cookies, and what we count

Amendly sets a cookie to keep you signed in. It sets one other: if you arrive on a page that names where you came from — the address printed at the foot of an amendment, for instance — we store that one word for thirty days so that an account opened afterwards can be attributed to it. It contains no identifier, it is readable only by us, and it is read once when an account is created and never again. There is no advertising network, no tracking pixel and no third-party analytics profile built from it. We do use Google Analytics to count page views in aggregate.

Payments and account email

When you subscribe to a paid plan, your card is entered and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. It is never entered into, or held on, Amendly's own servers, and Stripe is who sends your receipt. Account email — confirming a sign-up, resetting a forgotten password, and other account notices — is sent through Resend. Sub-processors added by this section: Stripe (payments), Resend (account email).

Your rights over your data

You can take everything, and you can have everything destroyed, without asking us and without waiting on anybody. Both live in Account → My data and closing this workspace, and both are available to the owner of a workspace at any time.

Take a copy. One download gives you every property, every party, every amendment and the full text of every version you have drafted — including anything you sent to the trash, because we still hold it. It is a plain file that opens in any text editor and can be handed to another system.

Have it destroyed. Closing your workspace removes it and everything in it: your properties, the people named on them, every amendment and version, every uploaded agreement, the supervision trail, and every stored PDF. Any subscription is stopped at the same moment and you are not charged again. It cannot be undone and we keep no copy. Your record of payments stays with Stripe, which is where your receipts live and is the system of record for money that actually changed hands.

You may only upload documents you hold all rights and authority necessary to upload and process for your transaction. California residents: we act as a service provider and process this information solely to provide the service; we do not sell or share it. You and the buyers/sellers in your transactions have rights under California privacy law; see our Terms and the rights section of this policy.
